Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement and eligibility

FIRE Nexus is for users 18 years of age or older. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. Accounts for users under 18 should not be created. You must also be able to form a binding contract under applicable law. If you use the Services on behalf of a church, ministry, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

Certain features (Members Portal community tools, partner publishing, Platinum messaging privileges, and similar) require verified FIRE Church International membership, acknowledgments, or paid plans as described in-product.

2. Accounts and authentication

FIRE Nexus uses email one-time passcodes (OTP) and related magic-link style authentication. We do not offer password login for Nexus accounts. You are responsible for maintaining control of the email inbox associated with your account and for activity that occurs through your authenticated sessions.

Provide accurate information and keep profile details reasonably current. You may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a church or ministry.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account is compromised, abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise violates these Terms.

3. Membership, enrollment, and activation

FIRE Nexus supports FIRE Church International membership flows, including in-app enrollment and activation (verification) steps. Enrollment alone does not always grant full portal access. Activation or an authorized admin grant may be required, as shown in the product.

Membership verification may rely on records maintained in FIRE Nexus and connected systems used for intake or dual-write during transitional periods. Internal operations mirrors are not used as the authorization source of truth.

You agree not to circumvent membership gates, forge verification, or share access intended for a single verified member.

4. Description of the Services

FIRE Nexus may include, without limitation:

• A public and signed-in experience for discovering campuses and ministry partners.
• A privacy-respecting international member map and directory experiences.
• A Members Portal with community rooms, ministry cells, courses, and related member tools.
• Welcome Call registration and live or replay viewing experiences.
• Partner billing so eligible ministries can unlock private messaging and related partner privileges. Campus publishing for activated ministries is free unless paid publish entitlements are re-enabled.
• Messaging, notifications, and email communications related to the Services.

Features may change, expand, or be discontinued as we improve the platform. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services if you are under 18, or create an account for anyone under 18.
• Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, or fraudulent activity.
• Upload malware, scrape the Services in a way that burdens our systems, or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, data, or infrastructure.
• Publish false campus listings, spam inquiries, or deceptive ministry claims.
• Share personal contact details of other members that the product intentionally masks or withholds.
• Interfere with content protections, rate limits, or security controls.
• Use the Services to compete with or reverse engineer FIRE Nexus except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
• Violate others' privacy, intellectual property, or publicity rights.

6. Your content and listings

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as profile text, images, campus descriptions, chat messages, and inquiry messages), subject to the licenses below and any membership or partner requirements.

You grant FIRE Church a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your content as needed to operate and promote the Services (for example showing a campus listing in the directory).

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit that content and that it does not violate law or these Terms.

Partner publishing may require acknowledgment of FIRE Church statement of faith and core values, and living/preaching alignment commitments presented in-product. Those acknowledgments are conditions of certain listing privileges.

7. Partner plans and payments

Browsing much of FIRE Nexus can be free. Publishing a campus listing is free for activated ministries that complete faith acknowledgment requirements shown in-product, unless paid publish entitlements are re-enabled by FIRE Nexus. Private messaging between members requires an eligible paid plan (for example Premier Partner or Platinum Partner tiers) as shown in-product.

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors as offered in the billing flow (worldwide cards and regional Africa options where available). Their terms and privacy notices also apply to checkout. Prices, trials (such as a Premier trial where offered), taxes, and renewal terms are presented at purchase and may change prospectively.

Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a paid period begins. You can manage or cancel renewals through the in-app billing controls or the applicable payment provider customer portal where offered. Cancellation typically stops future renewals but does not always erase the current paid period.

We may update entitlements when invoices fail, subscriptions lapse, or plans change. Reduced messaging privileges may result when requirements are no longer met. When paid publish entitlements are enabled, unpublished listings may also result.

8. Communications

By using the Services, you consent to receive transactional emails necessary for authentication, security, billing, Welcome Call logistics, and service notices.

Where we send Welcome Series or similar member nurture messages, you may unsubscribe via the link provided or by contacting us. Transactional messages may still be sent when needed to operate your account.

9. FIRE Church intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, trademarks, logos (including FIRE and Nexus marks), and original content we provide, are owned by FIRE Church or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Services as allowed under these Terms, no rights are granted. You may not use FIRE branding in a misleading way or imply endorsement without permission.

10. Third-party services

The Services may integrate or link to third-party services such as authentication and hosting providers, payment processors, email delivery providers, video delivery, podcast or giving destinations, and firechurchnow.com. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy at https://nexus.firechurchnow.com/privacy explains how we handle personal information. By using the Services, you acknowledge that policy.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIRE CHURCH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that directory, map, membership, or billing data will always be complete or current.

Spiritual teaching, community content, and member-generated materials are provided for ministry purposes and do not create a professional counseling, legal, medical, or fiduciary relationship with FIRE Church unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIRE CHURCH AND ITS LEADERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO FIRE CHURCH FOR FIRE NEXUS PARTNER SUBSCRIPTIONS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

14. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FIRE Church and its leaders, employees, and contractors from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your content, your listings, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us; some records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if needed to protect the Services or others. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.

Exclusive venue for disputes arising out of these Terms or the Services will be the state or federal courts located in California, USA, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, except where prohibited by law.

Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by emailing us at the contact address below and allowing a reasonable time to respond.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Effective date and Last updated date will change when we do. If you continue using the Services after the updated Terms take effect, you accept the changes. If you do not agree, stop using the Services.

18. Miscellaneous

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and FIRE Church regarding FIRE Nexus and supersede prior agreements on that subject. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or to a successor. There are no third-party beneficiaries except as expressly stated.

These Terms do not create a pastor-member counseling contract, employment relationship, or partnership beyond what is expressly stated.
