FIRE Nexus

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 11, 2026. Last updated: August 11, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how FIRE Church International ("FIRE Church," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use FIRE Nexus at nexus.firechurchnow.com and related services (the "Services"). It is written for clarity for members and visitors. It is not a substitute for personalized legal advice.

Also see our Terms and Conditions.

1. Who we are

FIRE Nexus is operated by FIRE Church International. The Services help connect FIRE churches, ministry partners, and international members through a member portal, campus directory, member map, messaging, courses, Welcome Call experiences, and related features.

Primary online contact for privacy requests: hello@firechurchnow.com. Product site: https://nexus.firechurchnow.com. Organization site: https://firechurchnow.com.

2. Scope

This policy covers personal information processed through FIRE Nexus accounts, public and signed-in pages on the Services, enrollment and activation flows, partner billing, campus listings and inquiries, portal community features, email communications we send about the Services, and cookies or similar technologies described below.

It does not cover third-party websites or apps that we do not control, including payment provider hosted checkout pages, external giving pages, or the public firechurchnow.com site except where those systems send data to FIRE Nexus (for example membership intake webhooks).

3. Personal information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and authentication data: email address, one-time passcodes, session identifiers, and related security logs. FIRE Nexus uses email OTP and magic-link style sign-in. We do not use passwords for Nexus login.
  • Profile and membership data: name, phone (where provided), country or location details you submit, membership verification status, enrollment records, avatar images you upload, and similar profile fields.
  • Directory and partner data: campus or ministry listing details you publish, faith acknowledgment records required for certain partner features, and messages you send through campus inquiry or messaging features.
  • Payment and billing data: subscription tier and status, customer identifiers, and billing-related metadata from our payment processors (worldwide card billing and regional Africa billing where offered). Card numbers are handled by those processors on their pages. We do not store full payment card numbers on FIRE Nexus servers.
  • Communications data: emails and transactional messages we send (for example OTP, Welcome Series, Welcome Call reminders, inquiry notices), unsubscribe and marketing opt-out records, and content you submit in forms.
  • Community and media data: chat messages, course progress, Welcome Call RSVP details, attendance signals, and media delivery identifiers needed to play hosted video.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP where needed for security or localization, pages viewed within the Services, locale preference, and diagnostic logs.
  • Cookie and similar technology data: as described in the Cookies section and our on-site cookie preferences controls.

4. Sources of information

We collect information from:

  • You, when you create an account, enroll, activate membership, publish a listing, pay for a partner plan, RSVP, message others, or contact us.
  • Automated means, such as cookies, logs, and security tooling while you use the Services.
  • Service providers acting on our behalf (for example authentication, email, payments, hosting, and video delivery).
  • Membership intake and operations systems connected to FIRE Nexus, including email list and enrollment signals used historically or as an intake bridge, and internal operations mirrors (not used as the authorization source of truth).

5. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services.
  • Authenticate users, maintain sessions, and prevent abuse or fraud.
  • Verify FIRE Church International membership and deliver portal features (national groups, cells, courses, Welcome Call, and related member tools).
  • Process partner subscriptions, trials, upgrades, cancellations, and entitlement checks.
  • Show privacy-respecting directory and member map experiences (for example masking emails/phones and limiting display names for certain views).
  • Send transactional messages and, where permitted, Welcome Series or similar member communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing-style drips where we offer an unsubscribe link.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support.
  • Comply with law, enforce terms, and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of FIRE Church, members, and the public.
  • Measure and improve the Services if you consent to optional analytics cookies (when enabled).

7. How we share information

We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the sense of "sale" or "share" under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, based on our current product design. If that practice changes, we will update this policy and provide required opt-out controls.

FIRE Nexus does not sell personal information to third parties. Paying for a subscription that unlocks private messaging (and any other paid privileges shown in-product) on FIRE Nexus is providing the product or service to you. It is not a sale of personal information to outsiders. Campus publishing for activated ministries is free unless paid publish entitlements are re-enabled.

We share personal information with:

  • Service providers / processors that help us run FIRE Nexus, such as authentication and database services, hosting and infrastructure, payment processors, email delivery and membership messaging providers, internal operations tools, video delivery for Welcome Call and similar media, and security vendors we engage.
  • Other users, when you choose to publish profile, campus, chat, or directory-visible information according to product rules.
  • Professional advisors, auditors, or authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • A successor entity in connection with a reorganization, merger, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

Processors are instructed to process personal information for our purposes under appropriate agreements where required.

8. International transfers

FIRE Nexus is used by members across many nations. Personal information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our processors operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your home country.

Where required, we use appropriate transfer mechanisms offered by our providers (such as contractual clauses) and apply security and access controls described in this policy.

9. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including to provide the Services, maintain membership and billing records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, or security requirements.

Retention periods vary by data type. Account, membership, and billing records are often kept for the life of the relationship plus a reasonable period afterward. Logs and ephemeral tokens are kept for shorter operational windows. Marketing opt-out records may be retained so we can honor your choice.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where feasible.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, server-side handling of secrets, rate limiting on sensitive endpoints, and privacy-minded directory responses (for example withholding emails and phones from public member map payloads).

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a trusted device and protect access to your email inbox, which is used for OTP sign-in.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, and to limit use of sensitive personal information in certain cases. We do not sell personal information. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as described above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

To exercise rights, email us at the contact address below. We may need to verify your request (for example confirming control of the account email). Authorized agents may submit requests where law allows, subject to verification.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, our cookie consent tooling treats that as a request to reject non-essential cookies and to record a do-not-sell-or-share preference for the consent record stored on your device.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Services (for example authentication sessions, locale preference, Welcome Call guest access tokens, and storing your cookie choices). Optional categories may include analytics and marketing cookies if enabled in product.

You can Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences through our cookie banner. Necessary cookies remain on because the Services cannot function reliably without them. You can reopen preferences from the site footer.

At the time of this policy, FIRE Nexus does not rely on third-party advertising pixels as a core product feature. Optional analytics or marketing tags, if introduced later, will respect the preferences you save and this policy as updated.

Payment processors, video players, or email clients may set their own cookies when you use their surfaces. Those parties' policies apply to their technologies.

13. Children's privacy

FIRE Nexus is for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Accounts for users under 18 should not be created. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information, contact hello@firechurchnow.com to request deletion.

14. Third-party links and services

The Services may link to firechurchnow.com, giving pages, podcast hosts, payment providers, or other external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before providing information.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Effective date and Last updated date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be highlighted in-product or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Services after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
